Bringing your newborn into your family is one of the most amazing experiences any parent can have and one that you will want to cherish forever. A newborn photography session is the perfect way of giving yourself a timeless reminder of your baby which you can share with your friends and family. My goal is to make your experience one you'll never forget. I want your session to be comfortable, fun and memorable!
INVESTMENT
A photo is something that stops a moment in time. To help us remember how you felt…. right at that point in time. Their smell, their touch, their innocence and true beauty of being a newborn. I love creating works of art for my clients to cherish every part and moment of their newborn – from their beautiful eyelashes, squishy lips, and soft wisps of hair... to their tiny hands and feet. In years to come, my images will take you back to the day your newborn was tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand and the days when they fell asleep on your chest... A picture is worth a thousand words, but the memories are priceless.
WHEN TO BOOK
If you want some adorable newborn photos don't wait to book your session! The best time to capture these adorable moments is when your baby is between 3-14 days old, where they can still be able to curl back into the fetal position and are sleepy/snugged. However, I believe every family is deserving of beautiful photos of their tiny newborn baby and I'd happily take newborns up to 6 weeks old. After 6 weeks I recommend a baby/milestone session. To avoid disappointment, please make sure that bookings are made in advance. I recommend booking your appointment during your second trimester. If your baby arrives early or late, then let me know at the earliest opportunity so I can fit you in as needs be. RETAINER FEE
A $100 retainer fee is payable at the time of booking in order to secure your spot. This retainer fee is non-refundable, however it is transferable with a 24 hour in advance notice. The remaining balance is due the day of the session. ​

My process

Say "Yes!" to Dreamcatchers Photography by Shana Marie! All you need to do is fill out the contact form with your information and I will email you back with my availability.

Plan it out!
Upon booking, we will plan and customize your session. You will receive an e-mail with a questionnaire form to fill out. This will help me tailor your session to what you love!

03.
The big day!
Your baby’s here! Now it’s time for the photoshoot! Your newborn session will be in my cozy studio where you will feel relaxed, calm, and peaceful. Sessions usually take roughly 2-4 hours. I allow extra time to take breaks for feedings and diaper changes as needed, you'll never feel rushed. I will safely and gently guide your baby into the beautiful poses you will love. Everything that is needed for your baby's session will be provided at the studio. You will also receive a prep guide helping you to prepare for your session.
04.
View & Order!
1 week after your photoshoot, you will receive an online private gallery of your proofs. This is where you choose which digitals images you'd like that are include in your collection. Once you’ve made your decision, I will then retouch your purchased images and have them ready for you within 2 weeks.
