Frequently Asked Questions For Newborn Sessions
-
When should I reserve my newborn session? The sooner, the better! The best time to reserve your session is before your baby is born. I always recommend when you are in your thrid trimester. We will schdule your session based on your due date. We may need to adjust the date depending on when your baby is born.
-
How old should my baby be for their newborn session?Ideally when your baby is between 3-14 days old is the best time to book your newborn session. At this age they are still able to curl up in a fetal position, are still sleepy and snug. I do take newborn bookings up to 6 weeks old.
-
What if my baby arrives early or late?Let me know at the earliest opprotunity so I can fit you in my schdule as need be.
-
Where do the sessions take place?Sessions take place at my private, cozy studio storefront located in Lake Elsinore, California.
-
Who supplies the outfits and props?I do! I provide outfits and props from my ever growing collection of knitted mohair wraps, pjs, stuffys, bonnets, outfits and headbands, hats, buckets, beds, blankets, flokati's and more.
-
What do I need to bring to the session?1) DIAPERS, diapers and more diaper... WIPES too! Accidents happen all the time, so please always be prepared and come with backup. 2) PACIFIRES... Between posing and changing outfits, baby may become fussy. It is very important to minimize upsetting your baby and maximizing comfort. Pacifires will help make the session go more smoothly. 3) Feedings... If you're nursing you are good to go, but also bring any bottles for feedings if need be. 4) Bibs 5) Change of cloths (especially shirts for the parents taking photos). 6) Please feel free to bring any snacks/food as the session may take time.
-
How long is the session and what should I exspect?Newborn sessions typically take 2-4 hours. Please make sure your baby is well fed before the photoshoot so they are less fidgety. Newborn sessions are a lot more of feeding and soothing than they are photographing, so please be paitent with me and exspect alot of down time. Meanwhile relax, put your feet up and let me capture these beautiful moments for you and your family.
-
What are fine art digital backdrop images? It is the combination of two or more different images together to create one. Although it may sound simple, creating this is a process and can take hours. For me the results are dreamlike images and full of color. Magical and beautiful.
